Frequently asked questions

How do I play multiple videos in a row?+

Click the box to select several files at once (hold Ctrl or Cmd, or Shift, while picking them), or drag a group of files in. They're added to a playlist and play one after another automatically. You can also drag tracks to reorder the queue.

Can I play both videos and audio in the same playlist?+

Yes. You can mix video files (MP4, WebM, MOV) and audio files (MP3, WAV, M4A, AAC, OGG) in a single queue. Video tracks show the picture; audio tracks show a music panel while they play.

Are my files uploaded anywhere?+

No. Everything runs in your browser and your files are read directly from your device. Nothing is uploaded, stored or sent to a server, so your media stays completely private.

How does shuffle and repeat work?+

Shuffle plays the queue in a random order. Repeat has three modes: off (play through once and stop), repeat all (loop the whole playlist), and repeat one (loop the current track).

Can I reorder or remove tracks?+

Yes. Drag any track up or down in the playlist to reorder it, click the × to remove a single track, or use ‘Clear’ to empty the whole queue. ‘Add files’ lets you append more at any time.

Is there a limit on how many files I can add?+

There's no fixed limit. Because playback is local, the practical limit is your device's memory — you can queue up a lot of files, though very large videos use more memory, especially on phones.

Can I play a whole folder of videos?+

Select all the files inside the folder (Ctrl+A or Cmd+A in the file picker) and open them together, or drag the selected files in. They'll be added to the playlist in order.

Does it work on phones?+

Yes. The playlist player is fully responsive and works in mobile browsers. Note that some mobile browsers pause background playback when you switch apps or lock the screen.
